Waquoit Bay Reserve & Cape Cod Winery

Paul

We have driven by the Waquoit Bay Reserve hundreds of times, and every time we tell ourselves, "We need to stop by there some day." Well, that day was today. And it was a beautiful one.

The Waquoit Bay Reserve is a beautiful natural area dedicated to study of marshlands, wildlife, and the history around us. There is a beautiful old Victorian home that was formally a family's summer 'cottage', that has been transformed into an educational center. There is a very short path that takes you down to the marshes, across a beach, and to a boat house, with increasingly better views around every corner.

After our afternoon at this Reserve, we enjoyed some live music sitting along some grapevines at the Cape Cod Winery. After wine, we enjoyed pizza and beer at Bad Martha's Brewery. Pretty awesome way to end a Friday.
