When my Uncle and Aunt from Rhode Island retired, they headed immediately to the town of Dennis on the Cape. Today, we visited their beautiful home and explored the area.
What a charming place! There are some very old homes in the center of town, and we had to be reminded that Dennis is uniquely situated to allow people to visit a beach on the ocean side or on the bay side. We stopped at West Dennis beach. Beautiful!
Before stopping for lunch at Scargo Cafe (it was delicious!), we stopped at Scargo Tower to take in the views. Scargo Tower is 30 feet high with a spiral staircase leading to a viewing platform. The views to the Bay are awesome, and you can even see Plymouth way off in the distance.
