This weekend in Falmouth . . .

On our morning walk, we came across this rafter of turkeys. (Yes, a group of turkeys is called a rafter - I had to look this up online)

There are quite a few turkeys in the area. Not very bright birds, as they are often meandering out into traffic, or slowly crossing a road. These guys need to hide pretty soon - Thanksgiving is but two months away.

This afternoon we visited the Cape Verdean Club of Falmouth for their annual Cape Verdean day. There were a couple of booths and food vendors. We learned a bit about Cape Verde and the local Cape Verdean community. We would have stayed longer, but the live Cape Verdean music (which was really good), was just way too loud.
