The Cape through our Friends' Eyes

We love to brag about living on the Cape. Perhaps too much. So, when we have the opportunity to show off the Cape to friends, we take full advantage. Our friends from Colorado traveled to see us for the weekend. We had a full Cape Cod experience planned for them.

As big baseball fans, we brought them to our favorite local Cape Cod Baseball League field in Cotuit. They had never heard about the Cape Cod league and were instantly impressed. We walked on the field, and noticed in the home dugout the list of Cotuit players who had made it to the Major Leagues. Very impressive.

Just down the road from the field is beautiful Cotuit village, with some deserted beaches where the road ends. Not the nicest weather this morning, but still beautiful views.

We drove north to explore Sandwich and its charming and historical center. We decided to stop for a quick lunch. Nothing better nor more local than lobster rolls.

The weather changed, the sun came out, and the temperatures warmed to reveal a beautiful afternoon. We drove to the Canal for a stroll, to admire the views.

And how do we end such a stunning Cape Cod day? Sunset at Old Silver Beach. Drinks in hand, toes in the sand, taking it all in.

Yeah, we like to brag. And they were duly impressed.
