Sunday Sox

My son and I could not have picked a nicer day to visit Boston. The weather was warm, low humidity, not a cloud in sight. A stunner.

We drove to Boston in lighter than normal Sunday morning traffic. Our first stop was the North End to get a very small taste of the annual St. Anthony Festival. We love walking the streets of the North End (feels like you are in Europe), and the streets were packed with people, booths, bands, food and laughs.

We stopped in to Pizzeria Regina for a quick pizza and beer.

After lunch, we strolled the narrow streets to take in all the sights.

Next stop: Fenway Park. We had tickets to the game (great seats behind home plate thanks to my niece, who works for the Sox).

We walked around the park, stopping at the new Truly deck, as well as visiting the Green Monster seats for an amazing view.

We won't talk about the results of the game, but we had fun nonetheless. Always a blast seeing the Sox play, and Fenway is the best venue in all of sports.
