A beautiful early Autumn morning for a hike. And Shallow Pond Woodlands was the perfect location. A 3-minute drive from our cottage brought us to a thick, wooded wonderland, with curvy, hilly paths leading to a calm and still pond.
Along the path, we found majestic trees, gnarled by years of wind and weather.
We also came across may beautiful, colorful mushrooms.
One thing we didn't want to come across, was the nest that held these wasps.
It was a very pretty hike on a gorgeous morning.
