Saguaro National Park remains one of our favorite National Parks. Driving along the 8-mile loop allows you to find hidden hiking trails, soaring and dramatic Saguaros, a diverse collection of desert flora, and a desert wonderland.
Looking from afar, you might be inclined to describe the desert as harsh. Barren. Lifeless. But once you are immersed in the desert, you notice life is everywhere. People may look at the desert as a struggle, because it may be unfriendly in human terms. But life abounds.
And, what better way to end a perfect Tucson day? Watching the breathtaking sunset, from the summit of A-mountain, as it paints a desert masterpiece across the sky.
