Sabino Canyon

Back in April, on another visit to Tucson, I got up super early in the morning to ride my bike to, and up, Sabino Canyon. This visit allows for a much more relaxing hike into this beautiful State Park.


Sabino Canyon is located northeast of the city, and is a very popular destination. Tons of locals bike, run, and hike this canyon every day. The hike from the parking lot to the top of the trail is 8 miles roundtrip. Along the way, the scenery is awe-inspiring.



While there are a lot of hikers on the trail, it is easy to get away and find spots for yourself. The hike is a bit exposed, so it should be done early in the day. And it goes without saying that you need to bring a lot of drinking water.
