Relaxing Day in Hawaii . . . finally

Paul

We were so incredibly busy over the past several days driving, visiting parks, hiking and exploring that we did not have a chance to relax. Sure, we had our nightly happy hour at sunset. But we seemed to be so busy that we have not had a chance to sit back, catch our breaths, and embrace island time.

Today is our day. We slept in late. We did drive a bit south for some fun snorkeling. We stopped by a Farmer's Market to stock up on a bit more fruit. Ever hear of cotton candy fruit? Looks gnarly, but tastes sweet and delicious.

We paid another visit to our favorite local Poke joint - Pau Hana Poke, for a couple of take-away plates. We then headed to our favorite beach (so far) - Alula Beach. It was mildly busy at the beach, but for the most part it was all locals. We found some shade under the trees, enjoyed our delicious Poke, and even took a nap.

So this is the relaxed Hawaii holiday most people talk about.
