Due to it's amazing and isolated location, Yasawa Island Resort & Spa has exclusive access to 11 private white sand beaches, so up to 11 couples can be experiencing their own private beach picnic. Today was our day.
We chose Paradise 3 - a long, sandy stretch of very deserted beach, all to ourselves.
Just how does it work? They pack up the boat with the gear, and take you to your private beach. They set up the beach picnic for you, complete with an umbrella, daybed with pillows, towels, snorkel gear, and a packed picnic lunch. As the boat departs, you are left deserted, on your own beach. No one is allowed there - it is yours for the day. Just let them know how long you want to stay, and they will come back to get you.
When we arrived to the beach, we were awestruck. The location seemed as if out of a movie. From our beach, we looked left, looked right, looked behind, and looked out towards the island in the distance. Not one sign of life. As far as we could see, we were the only people. The exclusivity of having your own private beach is unlike any experience I have ever had.
We enjoyed some great snorkeling in the bay, with loads of marine life and corals. We strolled the beach a bit. We enjoyed our delicious picnic lunch. We napped under the umbrella. It was magic.
Sometimes I find it difficult to unplug. To get away from it all. Having your own private beach in paradise does not give you the option. You must unplug. You must take it all in. And you have the opportunity to experience a relaxing, quiet, private beach experience unlike any place in the world.
