Plymouth & Scusset Beach

Paul

We had some errands to run today that brought us to nearby Plymouth. And, while in Plymouth, why not stop at Mayflower Brewing for a quick beer. We sat outside and enjoyed our beers in the sun. But, once the sun starts dropping, so too does the temperature. We have officially entered the season where you need to have a sweatshirt in the car at all times.

On the way home, we made a detour to visit Scusset Beach. I remember being very young, and our family would do some truck camping at this beach. Lots of good memories, including my Dad running to the shore whenever he saw baitfish go by, with the hopes of striped bass following them.

There were plenty of campsites still occupied, but the seasonal buildings are closed, and they are no longer charging for day parking. It is great to see the different perspective of the mouth of the Cape Cod Canal from this side, as we normally view it from the Sandwich side.
