Not the best day/time to visit one of the Cape's most popular beaches. Bit of a rookie mistake.
When we arrived at the Resident Only parking lot, there were four cars ahead of us, waiting for other cars to depart so a parking space would open for them. In the Visitors parking lot, the waiting line to park was close to 20 cars long.
Is it silly to visit a popular beach on a weekend? Sure. Is it worth it? Absolutely. It is a fantastic beach, amazing sand, and slightly chilly ocean water. And, it was one of the nicest days of the summer. A short wait for a parking space was a very small price to pay for a relaxing afternoon on the sand.
