North Falmouth Beaches

Paul

It is much too early to claim a favorite beach. However, tonight's beach exploration sets the bar really high.

We enjoy going out for drives after dinner. Our first stop was Old Silver Beach. For Falmouth, this is a really good size beach, and the sand is sugar soft. Amazing views across Buzzard's Bay, and very easy access into the water. This beach is super popular amongst locals and tourists alike, and there is a reason for that.

Next stop was Chapoquoit Beach. It is like the end of the earth over here. The sunset views are simply incredible, and the neighborhoods surrounding this area are fantastic.

Final stop for the evening was Megansett Beach. This looks to be a locals favorite, and the rock jetty stretching out from the natural marina appears to be an ideal spot for some fishing.

What to do after a bit of beach exploration? Ice cream, of course. However, we made a rookie mistake: not carrying cash. Many/most of the local ice cream spots are cash only. It took three stops to find a place that accepts Venmo. Worth it!!

I foresee many future early evening beach visits followed by ice cream stops . . .
