New Bedford, Westport and the South Coast

Paul

Another stunning November day. Temps in the 70s, sunny skies, and no crowds.

Today, we drove down to New Bedford, specifically to enjoy a beer and bowl of chowder at Cisco Brewery, located along the water.

There is a shell beach adjacent to Cisco. And when I say shell beach, I mean a ton of shells!

On our way north from New Bedford, we noticed this massive steel door, that turns out to be a hurricane door, that closes during massive storms, keeping water from the city.

We wanted to show our son Horseneck Beach and the causeway drive to Gooseberry Island. What an amazing day to experience this!

On our way back, we stopped for a beer and some food truck goodies at Buzzards Bay Brewery - fast becoming our favorite brewery stop.

Along the way back, we drove through Fairhaven (and saw the amazing Fairhaven High School), and through Mattapoissett and Marion.
