March Madness Day 2

The bar and sports book is slightly (and only slightly) more subdued. I suspect that the past two days of March Madness takes a toll on people.

This morning, we drove to Zen Japanese Curry, a small family-run restaurant. Absolutely delicious!

We returned to South Point Casino to hang out at the sports book. Great place to watch games, get caught up in the excitement, and take in all of March Madness. After watching games for a bit, we walked over to the casino floor and took in a few games of blackjack. This was my first time playing blackjack in probably 20 years, and when a seat opened up next to me, my son joined me for his first blackjack experience. This was the only $5 table in the casino (very hard to find anywhere these days). The experience was amazing. All of the players were completely supportive, and helped us with our hands. The dealers were great, and very patient. It could not have been a better first experience for him. Well, except for the part where we lost all our money. But for the fun and laughs it was worth it.

Tonight we returned to the Las Vegas strip to explore. We walked around Caesars, Bellagio, Paris, Palazzo and the Venetian. We were both craving Italian food, so we enjoyed a great dinner at the Venetian.
