One of the great things about living in a very small cottage on Cape Cod? It is very easy to clean. We can clean the whole house in 30 minutes.
But today is a hot one. We decided to go for a walk after our housekeeping. Our normal neighborhood walk is a 2 1/2 mile stroll around Jenkins Pond. At about the half way point, we came across a house with the sign of our dreams: Free Air-Conditioners. There were two used, but very well cared for air-conditioners sitting on the retaining wall, along with an extension cord from the house. The sign said "Plug them in and test them", so we did. And both worked perfectly. A quick call to our son, and a pin on the map had our car there in minutes, and two air-conditioners in the trunk. We rolled up their extension cord, and left a heartfelt Thank You note. Tonight, we will sleep very well!
This afternoon, we had some company over (my brother and his wife). We went to Old Silver Beach with the masses. It was super-packed, but still an awesome afternoon at the beach. Cocktails and tacos on the deck tonight. Another tough-to-take Saturday on Cape Cod!
