Hot, Humid Falmouth Heights

Paul

Today, we woke to cloudy, overcast skies. Not super hot - about 78 degrees. But with 95% humidity, it was pretty uncomfortable. A good description would be to describe the air as thick. We wanted to go for a walk, but needed to be somewhere we could immediately cool off afterwards. So, we drove to Bristol Beach, parked at the beach lot, and walked around the Falmouth Heights area. The narrow, one-way streets adjacent to Falmouth Heights are home to some charming homes and cottages. What a great neighborhood!

After our stroll through Falmouth Heights, we walked directly into the ocean. Was the water cold? Yup. Was it refreshing? Absolutely.

We saw some Beach Roses on the side of the dunes.

And we also saw this cute, yet scary sign. We all know that seals are cute as can be, but they also tend to bring about some not-so-welcome visitors. Several beaches in Massachusetts have been closed due to great white shark sightings. Appropriate, as it is Shark Week on TV.
