Friends' Visit - Day Two

Paul

Day two and some more exploring on the Cape. For lunch, we enjoyed some local seafood at a restaurant in Falmouth. The restaurant had a framed print of my favorite image so far this summer:

We drove to Woods Hole, and we timed it perfectly. Just as we arrived on Main Street, the light turned red, the bridge keeper pulled barriers across the road, and the drawbridge opened to allow boat traffic in and out of the marina. A very cool thing to see up close.

We stopped at the Nobska Lighthouse, which is undergoing renovation. But it is still so majestic, and the views of it and from it are some of our favorites.

Now, how else can we share our Cape Cod/New England experience? With a beer by the beach, and the NE Patriots game playing on the television. Obnoxious, yelling Pats fans enjoying the game, while we enjoyed great local beer with an amazing waterfront vista.

We are so happy to share our Cape with our friends. Seeing how visitors appreciate their first visits to the Cape fill us with pride. While our time at the Cape is limited, we know deep down that we will return. And we will return often.
