Exploring Falmouth, Woods Hole & Bristol RI

It's been a busy first week here in Falmouth. We have LOVED exploring the Teaticket area. Our house is a very short 5-10 minute walk from Great Pond, which is an inlet with some beautiful homes and boats moored everywhere. The walk down to Bristol beach is fun, and walking along Great Pond makes it much more pleasurable than walking on the busy road.

We visited Woods Hole, and used our favorite iPhone app (Atlas Obscura) to find some fun sights.

This week, our friends from Colorado were visiting their son who lives and goes to school in Bristol RI. Bristol is a charming waterfront city, and we loved walking through the downtown area. We stopped for lunch at a neighborhood Portuguese restaurant. But selfishly, we want to stay on the Cape. We always made fun of folks who lived on the Cape, who never wanted to cross over the bridge and go 'Off Cape', or OTB (Over The Bridge). We thought they were either townies or snobs. But having spent 5 months here last year, and back for another visit, we know how they feel. We want to stay on Cape as much as we can.
