Just outside of Grand Junction, CO is the Colorado National Monument. While we have been here several times, we are continually amazed. It is stunning, and should be on a must-visit list for any fan of nature and national parks.
The drive along the rim of the canyon is breathtaking, and even short detours bring you to hikes that lead you to breathtaking vistas.
This is a gem in the National Park collection, and unlike this morning's visit to Arches, we had roads and hiking paths to ourselves.
After our drive and hikes through the park, we headed to Grand Junction to enjoy a cocktail at Highlands Distillery, and then a pre-dinner beer tasting at Ramblebine Brewing Co. Well earned.
