Chapoquoit Beach & Neighborhood Stroll

Paul

Our plan for this morning was simple: park at Chapoquoit Beach, walk along the beach, explore some of the nearby neighborhoods, and cool off with a swim in the ocean. It almost worked out perfectly.

As you can see from the sign, they closed the beach to swimming due to bad water quality. I didn't even know they tested ocean water for quality! Well, we were able to do our long walk without the refreshing swim.

And what a walk it was. We listened to the screeching of the ospreys from their perched nest. We walked along the water. And we walked by the inlets, which were home to dozens of boats.

And near one of the marinas, we found perhaps my favorite posted sign.

Now that is subtle!

After our walk, we returned home and immediately walked to the pond for a refreshing swim.

This afternoon, we visited Naukabout Beer Co. in Mashpee. Really good beer in an excellent location.
