This morning, we drove from Grand Junction to the Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park. Hard to believe we have been in Colorado for almost 30 years and have never visited this amazing park. Is early March the best time to visit? Probably not. The road to the Visitors Centre was open, but the gate was across the road, warning of closed park roads due to snow and ice. We were able to see some amazing views from the Visitor Centre, but the cold and wind proved too much. A short, but very pretty visit.
