Back where I belong . . . Rarotonga

Paul

Boy, am I lucky. The day before my flight from Los Angeles to Rarotonga, Cook Islands, I put in a bid for an updated on Air New Zealand. The upgrade I was wanting? Skycouch

.

So, what is sky couch?

It is three adjacent seats, in Economy class, that can be reserved for one person, and converted into a bed. The footrests pop up and fit snug against the three seats in front of you. Then, a thin mattress pad is placed on the seats, along with a comfy blanket and full size pillow. You can't straighten your legs the entire way, but you can get very comfortable.

Arriving to the Rarotonga airport, I felt relaxed and refreshed. And, I felt like I was back home.
