A walk through our past

Paul

Today's walk was at Menauhant Beach on Falmouth's south coast. We parked at an empty parking lot, which no longer has a parking attendant, nor a lifeguard. I guess the summer beach season has come to a close. Bummer.

We walked up Central Ave, past some of the newer homes and developments, until we found the house I lived in for the Summer of 1988, the summer I met my wife in Falmouth. It brought back some great memories.

Along the way, there is an adorable, charming little chapel.

Returning to the beach, we took a swim to cool off, and were surprised to see it so very deserted. No sign on the beach, no parking fee attendant, no crowds. Perhaps this is a preview for what September has in store for us.
