Even by our own high standards, this was a pretty awesome Sunday on the Cape.
We started at 7a, as my son and I drove to South Cape Beach for a bit of shore fishing. There were a few beach walkers, but we pretty much had the entire stretch of the beach to ourselves. No luck with catching any fish, but it was a beautiful way to start the day.
In the afternoon, my wife and I visited Wood Neck Beach, which has very quickly become one of our favorites. Mid-afternoon is the time to visit. Many people are already done for the day, and the crush of tourists leaving the Cape make for emptier beaches. It was so incredibly relaxing, and with the tide heading out, the water was really warm and comfortable.
Yup. Overall, another pretty awesome day on the Cape.
