Sunday in Polanco

We wanted to show off the cool Polanco neighborhood to our son, so we hopped into an Uber and headed to our first stop - Museo Soumaya. We waited in a long line to get into the museum, and braved the heavy crowds to see some of our favorite artwork. The lobby of the museum was closed the first time we came, so we didn't know that there were some very cool versions of classic Italian art, including Michelangelo's Pieta, David, and the famous Brunelleschi doors from Florence.

We checked out the very fancy mall that is adjacent to the museum, and then walked down some of Polanco's best streets. This is the area's answer to Rodeo Drive in Hollywood. You can find every luxury brand here: Dolce & Gabana, Prada, LV, Tiffany, Cartier and more.

We were craving a beer, so we headed to an area bar to catch some of the NFL playoff game between Buffalo and Cincinnati. It is fun to hear the announcers speak the players' names in Spanish.

For dinner, we went to our tried-and-true neighborhood La Casa de Tono.

Our son's visit went by way too fast, but it was so fun to have him here in Mexico City. We loved showing off the city to him, and to see his reaction to the sights. This is his third visit to CDMX, and surely not his last.
