Return to El Charco

Paul

The first time we visited the botanical gardens of Charco del Ingenio, we commented that we would love to return. Well, today is that day.

And it was a lovely day for this visit. We arrived to sunny skies, slightly (and only slightly) cooler temperatures, and a slight breeze. Perfect for walking through this amazing natural reserve.

We spent a bit of time exploring the sculpture gardens, and saw the plaque that had been placed to honor the visit from the Dalai Lama.

The cactus seem to be flowering a bit more than during our last visit, and the colors are beautiful.

Our second visit was just as perfect as our first, as we were able to find hidden corners of the park just for the two of us, surrounded by the quiet serene nature of this desert wonderland.
