Over the past week, we have been lucky to have Lisa's sister and her husband visiting us. On Saturday night, we stopped in to La Capella, a wonderful restaurant with an amazing view looking directly at the dome of the famous PV church. We enjoyed delicious cocktails while taking in the views.
We walked past Casa Kimberly, the house made famous by Elizabeth Taylor's stay here while filming Night of the Iguana. The bridge across the street connected her to Richard Burton's house.
The famous Iguana bridge takes us to the island that is separated by the fresh water river. On the island is some restaurants, shops and a beautiful park. On this Saturday afternoon, we found loads of cats roaming the island. There was some live music, artisans selling their wares, and some great people-watching.
We crossed one of the swinging bridges to access the Zona Romantica, where we enjoyed a lovely stroll before finishing at our favorite beachfront restaurant for a drink as the sun was setting. And the sunset was spectacular.
The next day we explored more of Puerto Vallarta. It was Palm Sunday so churches were packed with locals.
Over the past couple days, we visited the beautiful park in the Romantic Zone, watched the swinging Danza de los Voladores, visited our friendly neighborhood cat brigade, and watched some absolutely amazing sunsets.
We now have less than 2 weeks remaining in Puerto Vallarta, and our 4 month Mexico adventure will be coming to an end. We are not ready to leave. We love the pace. We love the food. We absolutely love the views and the sunsets. It will be so difficult to leave, but we will be ready for our next adventure.
