Museo and Groceries

After a long 2-day trip to Puebla and Cholula, we wanted to take it easy on Sunday. We enjoyed a late breakfast, relaxed at the apartment, and hung out. But the weather is WAY too nice, so we had to get out for a walk.

We headed north of our San Rafael neighborhood to the Museo Universitario del Chopo. This is a very cool, modern building and the museum features some amazing modern art. The museum was free today, as most are on Sundays. One of my favorite pieces was a sculpture created from the silicone taken from remote controls.

We needed a bit of a change of pace. So we walked down San Cosme and found a place to get a pizza. We scarfed down a whole cheese pizza before taking the long walk to our favorite grocery store to get some supplies. Despite our promise to relax and take it easy, we still walked over 11,500 steps. I guess with our frenetic pace of walking in Mexico City, that is considered a down day.
