Dia Day 2

Paul

Our efforts to stave off a hangover started last night, with a visit to our neighborhood street taco stop. Effective, and delicious!

This morning, we enjoyed a hearty breakfast in an open-air patio. We then walked over to see the festivities at Cemetery of Our Lady Guadalupe. The road to the entrance was packed with vendors selling everything: snacks, flowers, flower pots, candy, and everything you can think of that can be presented as an offering at a gravesite.

Today is a huge celebration day when locals flock to the cemeteries to clean gravesites, and decorate them with flowers and offerings. It was absolutely packed with people. While it really felt strange being there, it was a unique experience to witness firsthand.

After our cemetery visit, we decided to walk back into town, and climb the hills to get a nice view of the city. It was a lot of hills and loads of steps, but worth it. We had a great lunch with incredible views.

The steep hike back down to the city brought us to different parts of the city, with some very cool buildings and hidden streets.
