I am always on the lookout for amazing flight deals, to anywhere in the world. In October 2019, I found one of the best deals yet: roundtrip flights between Denver and Beijing for $394.
Little did I know that we would have to cancel our plans in February due to coronavirus.
So, needing a getaway for Spring Break, we decided to travel to Mexico. Having been to many of the beach destinations in Mexico, we were looking for something new and something cheap. But most importantly, we were looking for something a bit last-minute that would deliver us to warm weather, the ocean, and some good food.
Using this criteria, we decided on Playa del Carmen. Never high on our list, Playa is a very busy destination. Lots of our friends have visited, with mixed reviews.
The disappointment of not being able to visit China will not be overcome with a Mexican beach holiday, but we will make the best of it.
