Pumpkins, Beaches and Maritime

Paul

After our hike this morning at Shallow Ponds, we decided to do a bit of exploring. Our first stop was Tony Andrew's Farm in East Falmouth. We explored their pumpkin patch, their small corn maze, and their beautiful farmstead. One of our favorite spots.

For lunch, we decided to drive across the bridge and explore a bit of Wareham. We had lunch along the marina, and explored Onset Beach and Shell Point Beach.

After Wareham, we drove to the Canal and parked near the Mass Maritime Academy. This campus is located at the west end of the canal. A popular spot for runners, hikers, and fisherman. The current was ripping from the east, so boats heading eastward had a rough time of it.

And what better way to spend the afternoon than relaxing on Falmouth Heights beach, with toes in the sand and a book in hand. I am reading The Big House, which is a story about an old family home on Wings Neck in Bourne. Fun reading about this area and recognizing streets, landmarks, towns, and sights.
